Job Title: Projects Development Engineer.

Scope:

Project development identifies and researches new business opportunities. By looking at emerging technology trends and growth areas to generate revenue, improve profitability, and help the business grow.

Job Purpose:

leading the development of renewable energy projects from conception, and techno-commercial feasibility through to completion, this role requires a deep understanding of renewable energy technologies, regulatory environments, and project financing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy project management, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for sustainable development.

Responsibilities:

• Research and Development of new technologies and energy global trends, converting them into a viable business case.
• Develop comprehensive project plans for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, green hydrogen, waste-to-energy, and other sustainable technologies.
• Oversee the development of projects, ensuring alignment with project plans, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, community groups, advisors, and contractors.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on project development status.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate the suitability of locations for renewable energy projects.
• Prepare feasibility studies and make recommendations based on findings.
• Coordinate with engineering, environmental, investment, and construction teams to ensure resource allocation aligns with project needs.
• Ensure projects comply with local, and global regulations and standards.
• Monitor regulatory changes and adjust project plans accordingly.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage them.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• A Master’s degree in Renewable Energy and/or chemical engineering is preferred.
• PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
• Green hydrogen certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Green Hydrogen project development is a plus.
• English Proficiency; Fluent (Read, Written, and Spoken).
• Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities.
• High-quality communication and presentation skills.
• Be proactive, and organized and handle work under stressful and uncertain environments.
• Excellent Computer, and technology skills.

Working Conditions:

• Working Hours: 9-5 (Sun-Thursday).
• Working Model: Onsite.
• Work Location: Maadi.
