Procurement Manager (Oil and Gas)

Jadeer is hiring on behalf of one of our clients in Cairo, Egypt.

Our client is seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join their growing team. The successful candidate will oversee procurement operations to support the company’s diverse technology and software solutions.

Role Overview

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness across all supply chain activities. This position requires a strategic mindset to optimize purchasing strategies and establish robust vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Developing procurement strategies and policies
Managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving down procurement costs
Overseeing the procurement process from sourcing to final delivery
Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
Analyzing market trends and making recommendations for improvements
Monitoring inventory levels and managing supplier performance
Training and supervising procurement staff
Reporting on key procurement metrics and performance indicators.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field

The Minimum years of experience required for this position is 10 to 15 years
Previous experience in procurement or purchasing roles
Strong negotiating and communication skills
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of supply chain management principles
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
International exposure, preferably in Africa is a plus
